Judith Nika Pfeifer

Judith Nika Pfeifer (born in Austria) writes poetry, prose and plays. Her texts appear in Austrian and German literary magazines and anthologies (kolik, Literatur und Kritik, the gap, Leaf Garden among others). In 2008, together with munich poet Augusta Laar, she founded viennapoetics. She performs, experiments, curates in search of new possibilities. Transmedia art projects in Vienna, Berlin, Edinburgh, Montreal, Munich, e.g. Literaturautomat @ Literaturhaus Wien in 2009 and @ podium10 in Salzburg in 2011. Dear Jenny, Poems in Situ, Jenny Holzer's Blue Purple Tilt exhibition, Talbot Rice Gallery, Edinburgh, 2010. LOOP, speech performance, Unrest of Form. Her critically acclaimed recent book in-between (zwischen), a collection of short stories, was awarded the Buchprämie 2014 by the Federal Chancellory of Austria. Her poems have been translated into English, Polish, Slovenian and Dutch.
