Dr. Ge Liang

Dr. Ge Liang, born in 1978, is a novelist whose works have won him distinctive fame and reputation in Chinese Contemporary literature. Being a copious writer, Ge Liang has published his novels in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan, including the full-length novels Scarlet Bird and The Paper Hawk as the first two of his “Trilogy of Modern China” which honored by Asia Weekly, Selected to “Top Ten Chinese Novels ”. and Collections of short stories as Seven Voices, Life of Puzzle, Ah Tak and Steve,The Years, Typhoon Racoon, Try to remember and Outlying islands. 
Ge moved to Hong Kong in 2000 where he studied and received his PhD degree. Being a creative writer and a researcher of Chinese literature, he has been inspired by the history of his hometown and family and applied to his works which he demonstrated impressive writing skills as well as sincere concern of humanity. 
Until now, Ge has published a total of 14 books and obtained 10 local and overseas literary awards . He has been named one of the “Best 20 Sinophone Writers under 40” by Unitas, one of the most authoritative Chinese literary magazines.  He has also won the First Prize of “The Unitas Fiction Writer’s Prize of Taiwan”.
