Damyanti has received a shortlisting and judge's commendation at the Bath Flash Fiction award. 

Her short fiction appears at Blue Stem (Eastern Illinois University), Lunch Ticket (Antioch University), Ducts.org (New York Writer's Workshop- Best of Net nomination), Griffith Review (Griffith University, Australia), Birkbeck Writer's Hub (Birkbeck, University of London), The First Line, Aerogram and other journals in the USA, Singapore and India.

She’s featured in print anthologies by Twelve Winters Press USA (Pushcart Nomination), and by publishers in Malaysia and Singapore: Marshall Cavendish, Monsoon and MPH, among others—under her name Damyanti Ghosh, and her pseudonymsDamyanti Biswas and D. Biswas.

Her debut novel in progress has received a grant from the Singapore National Arts Council, and been long listed for the Mslexia Novel Competition.

She has attended workshops with authors Jeremy Sheldon, Sarah Butler, Ardashir Vakil, Patrick Gale, Suchen Christine Lim, Julia Bell, Jean McNeil, Tim Tomlinson, Sally Breen, Francesca Rendle-Short, and others. She’s also learned the craft online from authors like Craig Clevenger, Suzy Vitello, Joshua Mohr and Patrick Wensink.
